With a portfolio tally that includes the completion of over 400 homes to date, owner Nick Zvacek knows that family is the main reason his company has developed a reputation for being among Kansas City’s top home builders.

A Certified Master Builder, Zvacek is a third-generation home builder. He literally grew up in the construction industry, learning early on that building a quality home was more than just a family affair.

Zvacek began his career working as a hands-on framer at the young age of 14. He opened his own roofing company at the age of 20, which eventually lead to the opening of Zvacek Construction in 1997.

One factor that Zvacek says stands out about his company is its solid reputation for being a reliable, experienced, and reputable company that continuously builds quality homes that buyers will be proud to own for years to come.

It is the “bones” of his homes that are the first layer of excellent quality construction.“We use 2 X 6 studs on center and build homes with solid structure. Our superior finishings and upgraded trim add unique style.”It is these finishing touches that enable a Zvacek house to truly become a home, causing a true sense of pride in ownership.

One other offering is an in-house Designer that “literally holds the buyer’s hands and walks them through the process as they select their custom finishes,” Zvacek said.

A superintendent is also assigned to handle the various stages of the build and must sign off on the construction stage before the next Superintendent takes over. There is a Superintendent responsible for the foundation, another for the framing, yet another for the painting stage, then the finishings construction stage, leading all the way to the walk-through.

In addition, many special options such as enameled woodwork and cabinets, granite countertops in the kitchen, and much more are offered at no extra charge. The goal at Zvacek Construction from contract to finish is to always build the perfect home for each individual buyer.
